Le_ Musée_ Libre_ helps museums and cultural actors to design and implement new digital strategies.

In September 2011, we helped the city of Saint-Fargeau-Ponthierry to participate to the Wiki Loves Monuments contest : 26 videos and 126 photos of the machine of 26 colors have been uploaded and are now freely reusable by anyone.

The « 26 colors » project

Back in august 2011, Le_ Musée_ Libre_ meets with the Mayor of Saint-Fargeau-Ponthierry, a small town in Paris suburb. Le_ Musée_ Libre_ suggests him that the city should participate to the Wiki Loves Monuments adventure and the Mayor says « Go ! », thus opening the doors of its small museum and cultural center : « Les 26 couleurs » (The '26 colors'.)

Le_ Musée_ Libre_ got in touch with L'Oeil à mémoires, run by Guillaume Ledun, who gladly accepted to participate to the contest. We also sollicitated Benjamin Clavel to do some shooting and to take pictures of the museum and the famous wallpaper printing machine.

By the end of september, 26 short movies and 126 photographs by Guillaume Ledun and Benjamin Clavel are uploaded and contributes to the Wiki Loves Monuments european contest. This content is available for anyone under a free license and allows wikipedians around the world to enrich articles about the ancient Leroy factories, about the famous "26 colors" machine and about the city of Saint-Fargeau-Ponthierry.
